Question Roland XP-50; cannot figure out MIDI.

So, I have a Midi In/Out cable plugged into the appropriate ports; I was hoping it was just a plug-n-go, thing, but it isn't.

Windows 10 recognizes it as a Midi USB, but I can't get anything sending through to the PC, and I am not sure how to change the settings to do so.

Do you have the cables crossed over? MIDI out on the PC to MIDI In on the Roland ?

Thankfully not, they were written on the cables. I could check to see if maybe the labels are on the wrong heads.

I should also specify it is a Midi-to-Usb. In|Out - to - PC USB.

Actually I meant they NEED to be crossed over. MIDI works in a loop, so it is always out -> in.

Oh, so IN goes i to the OUT port.

Why would they do that to me? Haha.
