I upgraded to windows 10 from windows 8.1,
I deleted my windows.old file. Is there anyway I can roll back to windows 8.1 now keeping my windows genuine at the same time?

Solution
In these sort of cases, the best courses of action are:
1| You reinstall your older OS using a bootable USB installer or disc provided by the manufacturer
or
2| Wait out the storm while Microsoft irons out it's new platform issues. In the meantime that would mean you reinstall your new OS using a recreated bootable USB installer and proceed with Windows 10 usage.

You may want to read through the middle of this article to get an understanding of why windows.old is needed.

Further reading and assistance in ISO.
