[SOLVED] Romote control pc from a TV?

I have a pc on 2nd floor and wirelessly connect Samsung tv au8000 through same wifi

I want to control pc on 1st floor for very simple tasks , play video, web searches etc

I have a wireless 2.4g mouse and keyboard connected to tv , works on tv but not remoting laptop

Any suggestions?

remote access, to use keyboard/mouse connected to TV to control your PC over wifi/network is enabled only on few select samsung smart TVs (premium models), if your TV has it (but i believe it doesnt), then you can find it in sources on your TV, ie press home button, select sources and pickup TV on PC
it looks like this:

companion app for windows is available on samsungs website (PConTV)

if this feature is not available for you, then there are no other options for you

A $150 used laptop or an even cheaper Firestick or Android device will work just fine for web browsing and video. Most newer TVs have all the video players and web browser you need also right on the TV, and most will work with keyboards.
