Hello +Elmo .. long time no convo!
Am I the only one still experiencing problems with zone
rooms flashing in spades? Did I miss a fix somewhere?
I find it very very annoying and since the last zone down
time couple of weeks ago it is pretty much constant. I
have to clear the registry almost every time I try to
enter. Nibbler's patch is fine but clears everything in
the reg - not just the room entries - with much the same
amount of key stroking and mousing as it takes to edit
the reg manually.
In desperation one day (after steeling myself for their
guffaws) I phoned tech help at my ISP (suggestion offered
by Nibbler as "permanent") and got exactly what I
expected - firm rejection that the network card is
definitely not the problem.
Is it a Flash problem? A scripting problem? Does it
affect some network cards and not others? Is the network
card involved at all? Is it multi-nic usage? If so why
only some players and not others. The number of players
who do not have more than one nic is probably under 10 so
I don't see that as the issue either. And even if it is,
it was not an issue January 2004 - appearing shortly
after that. So what changed? And when will it be fixed?
Is there something I can do to fix it myself? Or do I
just wait on MSN to come up with resolution?
I should have numbered all my questions for you Elmo.
Sorry
I await your reply.
