Hello everyone I believe I have a Rosewill RNX-N250PCe wireless card. I've had it for such a long time I cannot actually remember what it is, but I spent some time looking up different card, and this one matches the RNX down to the Numbers on the front.

I'm trying to install it in my friends computer, although I do not have the disk anymore, so I went to the companies website and got the driver from there for Windows 8, even though she runs 8.1 ( not sure if this would make a difference as i had it previously in a windows 8.1 computer ) I tried to install the drivers and everything went well, and asked to shut down for the drivers to work. Although it does not work at all and im quite confused. Here is the website, any help would be awesome.

Some Windows 8.0 drivers don't work on Windows 8.1, manufacturers had to release new, Windows 8.1 drivers to fix that.
Some will tell you that all Windows 8.0 drivers are compatible with Windows 8.1, it's not so:

That may be the reason for your problem.

If Rosewill have a Windows 8.1 driver for the device, that's the one you need to install.

Solution
Sadly there is no windows 8.1 driver on their website for the specific card I think. Although - it is weird because I used this card previously with a W8.1 build. But thanks for helping out.
