I'm using Windows 8.1 I just built the computer and have all mobo drivers installed as well as graphics card drivers installed with no problem. I cannot get the wireless adapter to work however, the cd that came with it is outdated and I've dowloaded the drivers for win8 from another comp and burned to a cd to install. However when I go to install the driver it errors out my computer forcing a restart due to IRQL not lower or equal. How on god's green earth can I get this to work? I'm EXTREMELY frustrated at this point, any help is welcomed.

Remove the adapter from your pc.
Remove any drivers you have already installed.

Go here (if you haven't already done so) and get the latest driver:
http://www.rosewill.com/products/1808/ProductDetail_Download.htm

Run the installer on the win8 pc and WHEN IT SAYS TO insert the adapter (not before installing).

If this does not work, I would try connecting via cable and letting Windows search for a driver itself.
