Rotheran Tomb

Where is it? I wandered all over between Gnisis, Maar Gan, and Ald'ruhn.
I've found other tombs and caves. I've killed many beasties and some
characters, but no Rotheran Tomb.

There is a Dunmer Stronghold called Rotheran at the
southernmost tip of the largest island in the northern
area called Sheogorad. You can walk to it from Dagon Fel
by following the paths.

IIRC it was somewhere to the south of Dagon Fel, sort of near the coastline.
I'm not positively sure though. It's on the bottom of the (Dagon Fel) island
near the eastern coast. There's a nice little program you can download called
TES map that shows the locations for most of the places in the game. I used it
all the time when I couldn't find something.

That would be because tehre is no Rotheran Tomb. There is a stronghold
called Rotheran south of Dagon Fel, and there is a Rothan Tomb a little
west of Maar Gan (follow the road out of Maar Gan west, when the road
curves to the south-west, the tomb will be to the north, just over a
small ridge).

trader.

If it's the one about the trader who went missing near Mar Gaan, just leave
Mar Gaan and go south. When the road curves, don't follow it, keep going
south over a hill and you should see the tomb.

BTW, I *hated* this quest the first time I did it. The directions you're
given by the NPCs are really bad and I wandered around forever until I
finally stumbled onto the stupid tomb.

In particular, sometimes the game designers appear to have been
confused between east and west.

Yes, I noticed that on several occasions. They frequently
screwed up East<->West directions.
