Roughly €500 HTPC Build

Approximate Purchase Date: Within a couple of weeks

Budget Range: would like to get it lower than €500 but will pay more for better quality parts if needed and some future proofing

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Media PC.. Watching HD movies and TV (want to install a DVB-S2 and DVB-T tuner) and then using SKY Go possible bluray playback.. Light browsing, Music Playback, Media streaming to my dowstairs TV so possibly transcoding (this is not too important).

Parts Not Required: I don not need a DVD drive or mouse or keyboard or HDD. have a USB DVB-T tuner but prefer an internal one if possible. Don't need a monitor using a TV

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: well it doesn't matter as long as they ship to ireland as cheap as possible

Country: Republic or Ireland

Parts Preferences: I was thinking something along the lines of i3/i5 with integrated graphics would be enough for what i need. Intel over AMD


Overclocking: if i need to then maybe but I don't think I will

SLI or Crossfire: Wont need this

Monitor Resolution: Don't need a monitor using a 1080p TV

Additional Comments: Since it's going to be a Home Theatre PC i'd like it to be small and quiet.. I Also plan on using A SATA 6GB SSD as the main drive so full SATA6GB support is needed and also have a number of USB 3.0 devices so that would be must.. eSATA is a bonus also.. I@m planning on installing linux as the OS so linux support is a necessity for the Hardware
