My guess would be a couple of months. New GPU will be showed on 13th of April IIRC, but it will take several weeks to be available at retail channel. Well, and that's assuming you are living in USA ... some other countries have to wait longuer :frown:

Still looking for a good online retailer in Spain :frown:

3 months minnimum is my guess.

If your getting the 9800 don't get the saphire card, lots of known problems with it. I suggest getting the ATI stock version. although i am a nvidia guy, I believe they have less issues and run more stable, but that's just my opinion.

Hey newbie. Before you go giving people bad advise make sure you know what you're talking about.

Sapphire is one of the best brands to buy. They MAKE ATI's cards for them! They are some of the best OCers, and are just as reliable as a BBA card, or other more expensive brand.

Me: are you saying I can't provide?
Me: cause I know I can provide.
Me: oh and I can provide money too😉
Rachel:): why do we need money when we can just stay in our room and have sex all day?

Because it's your opinion, doesn't mean it isn't bad advice that people should be warned to ignore.

And based on what you wrote, yeah I'd agree you're post is far from being worth the space it's taking up on the server.
But then again, that's MY op-onion.

go to the first page and read all the different problems with the 9800 pro, and go to reviews such as the ones on newegg and read about the people with compatability problems with the sapphire card.

One caution on Newegg user reviews is that many people are boneheads and it is a user error not a bad card. If you read them enough and know better, you can weed some of them out right away. That's why buying refurbs from neweeg is so worth looking into as many are just customer returns from people who didn't know how to install it correctly or didn't take the time to learn how. But yet they find the time to leave a negative review, go figure. Although there are brands to avoid, Saphire makes a good card.

"Are we there yet"

Wow, I'm currently a 10 hour drive from home with the family which includes a 2 and 4 year old. I know what your saying. Yet they were very good this trip. I am loving the DVD system in our Town & Country though. I can't imagine we almost bought one last year without that. It's amazing what 2 hours of a DVD can do to better a long drive like that. Priceless.

My Ati cards sucked tbh. I mean my 9700pro did over 9800pro speeds and never had any issues. And my new 9800pro flashed to XT and runs flawless. ATI suck so much. =)

Because alot of people are having trouble with a piece of hardware doesn't mean the hardware is at fault, alot of the issues are USER error.

You will also see an increase in the number of issues with a certain piece of hardware if it's more popular and more people have them. Supruising how few Volari DUO problems we get here, guess they must be the most reliable, high quality products out there, we should all get one by your way of thinking.

Needless to say, your advice has proved on many occasion to not be worth the time it takes to read it, so I'm not surprised that you've painted the entire line based on your limited experiences.
