So I stated my build part way, components I already have:

Corsair spec 3 case
Corsair vengeance 2x4 8 gb
240 gb silicon power ssd
Evga gtx 960 4gb superclocked

So those can't change, picked them when they were on sale, but rest of my build I keep swapping around as I look at prices and reviews and this weekend I'll be by a Microcenter and was gonna finish up my build.

What I'm currently planning on getting while I'm there,

Intel G3258 3.2 GHz cpu
Gigabyte GA-z97MX gaming mATX mobo
Cooler master hyper T2 compact CPU cooler
Some cheap lg disc drive
Corsair professional series gold AX750 modular psu Refurbished

With 2 year replacement plan on the cpu, mobo and psu, it all comes to $340 after tax.

I think this gives me some good upgrade potential in the future, mobo supports overclocking and Sli, and the psu although refurbished can handle both, an upgrade in cpu and any extra goodies I wanna add in next year like better cooling and some LEDs.

What do you think? Any changes or substitutions you would make on a similar price point? Is the psu a good deal at $80?

Wouldn't let me reply directly to you on my phone but that's very similar to my original build plan

Wouldn't I need a Z97 mobo to support the new broadwell cpus coming out?

H97 chipset supports broadwell, broadwell is already out but there is nothing really worth buying for desktop most of broadwell CPUs released were for laptops.

if you want something that all you will need to upgrade in the future is CPU no motherboard or ram, look at Skylake it just came out but currently they only sell 2 skylake CPUs i7 for OC and i5 for OC, but so you know if you want skylake it will cost alot more
