router and speed question.

i have the option for either 50 or 100 mbs internet speed. Is the 130$ price for 100mbs worth it, or would 50 be plenty?
Also, i need some suggestions for a wifi router that isnt too pricey ( preferable at or around $100). I know i wont be getting the full speed with wifi, but im only using it for others to watch netflix while i game. Ty for any and all help.

The internet is thru mediacom, i didnt know if that mattered at all.

That depends a whole lot on how many users, how many devices, and what you use it for.

i will connect my pc to the router with ethernet, and no more than one other using the wireless to stream netflix.

50Mbps will be completely fine. 100Mbps not needed.
Now...if you had a household of 8 people, and 14 devices....I might consider the 100.

What type of service is this? Cable or fiber? And where?

Ideally, you should get something from their 'approved' list. Otherwise, they may not assist when you have an issue.
