Hi,

I have a Virgin Media super hub (Super hub 2 I believe) and my current network is that I have a 10m ethernet able running from downstairs to my brothers bedroom, which connects into his xbox/pc depending on what he's using. Then a cable going into a powerline adaptor which links up to the powerline adaptor in my room which then has a cable going into a wireless router which is then connected to my pc.

We're currently paying for 175mbps download speeds, which everyone gets apart from me as I'm using the powerline adaptors. (I roughtly get a 1.75MBp/s download speed which isn't really ideal considering I use the internet the most.

So when downloading games, I try using my brothers' long ethernet cable to run into my loft room and as soon as I plug it into the PC it shuts down the routers. Anything wired or wirelessly connected is disconnected straight away and the router loses all connectivity.
I've tried disconnecting everything and just tried to use the single cable on it's own going up to my room, without the powerline adaptors being connected to the router too. Still the same problem.

Any ideas? SO frustrating when it takes so long to download games when it should be taking just a fraction of the time it does.

Yeah, had another 10M cable which is the exact same brand, same issue.
The cables work fine on my brothers PC and his xbox, not sure why mine is such a problem?
