Router connected to PC, want to just use for laptops

We have a desktop PC connected to a Netgear router, and also get Internet through this for our 2 laptops. We now want to disconnect the PC (it's Windows XP) and just use the laptops. Can we just disconnect the cable to the PC, or do we need to reinstall the whole router? We are not very computer savvy. Any help would be appreciated!!

Yes, just disconnect the cable.
