I have an RT-AC66U Asus router and after having to reset the router I can no longer login to the router by typing the router address on the browser. I tried all sorts of passwords and usernames including the standard password and username!!! Internet works fine. By going into system preference and network on my computer gives me the router ip address 192.168.1.1. This is frustrating, everywhere I look on the internet it is only showing how to reset your router if you forgot your password but that's not my case! My case is the router is reset!! But can't login! I need to be able to login to put a password on the wi-fi.

Btw, I was able to login using standard username and password before having to reset the router. Now I just can't. What is wrong?

That's my problem, that does NOT work!!
That "admin" username and "admin" password doesn't work!! Nothing works! Tried all other passwords and usernames in case. Router has been reset!

Did you reset the router to factory config?
Are you trying to connect via ethernet cable?

Maybe it's me that's not making sense so I'll try explaining it again...
So before I had the router reset, I was able to login using the default username and password (admin, admin).
I was having internet problems and so one of the thing that my internet provider had me to do was to reset the router and I did that!
After I reset the router it wipes out the wi-fi password (that's how I know it was reset).
We got the internet back up and running...everything is working fine....except when I try to login to the router I can't anymore (tried all sorts of passwords, including the default one)!

So anyone has answers to why?

Reset it again.

I also facing with that problem please someone help me .
I reset the router and login with default passwords and user names but this is not working .
