I have 2 routers. One wifi router connect to internet and send connection to 2nd Lan network router.
My laptop connect to wifi router and download/ browse web with more than 8 ports receive data from internet.
But if I connect to lan router, it just limit 8 local ports on device to reveice connection.

For examples, with Internet download manager, it use default 16 connections to download a file. If i download some big file, I cant browse web or do anything else. Because all 8 ports already been used and no other local port can receive network data from router.

Is this some kind of default factory settings that i can change? Because I didn't any settings in my router that limit connection is enabled

Wifi Router: G-97RG6M
Lan router: TL-WR740N / TL-WR740ND

Why do you have the second router. Is it only to have more lan ports. It might be better to buy a switch your second router only has 10/100 lan ports and you can get a 8 port 10/100/1000 from tplink tl-sg105 for $20.

I would factory reset the tplink router and see if that fixes it. If not you should be able to use the router as a dumb switch. Disable the DHCP server and assign a non conflicting lan ip and then hook to a lan port rather than the lan port. The traffic will not flow via the router cpu. Since the traffic only passes the switch chip it can not restrict the number of sessions.

Note you should use the word sessions rather than ports, most people think of physical ports.

It kinda hard to explain.

The thing is if I download a big file. I cannot use web browser (it just say timeout connection). And again, if i was watching a stream video like youtube. I cannot download any files (no connection return back).

because the router is blocking connection to my computer. It only allow me 4 outer connection to any remote ip address.

it is all the same for all PC connect through this specific router
