Question Router lose connections to some services

Hello folks!

I bought a router Asus A86U and I’m using it with my VDSL modem.

Sometimes, other devices cant surf on internet and only a few sites and services keep working. Example: yesterday I was playing Diablo 3 online on notebook and my iphone was connected to same network but can’t access any site - on notebook, only diablo 3 was working, spotify or browser was not working.

Should I change any configuration on modem or router to make it work?

Does the following line diagram show your network?

ISP ---(telephone cable)--->VDSL Modem [port?] ---Ethernet cable -->[WAN port] Asus A86U ----Ethernet cable ---> PC

Correct the line diagram as necessary.

Also: Make and model VDSL modem?

How many devices on your network: wired and wireless?

As for changes:

Did you disable the DHCP IP addressing on the modem and set up the router to assign/give out IP addresses.

Should be one or the other - not both.

Are you able to run "ipconfig /all" on your notebook and post the results.

Overall the problem needs to be identified before starting to make corrective changes/fixes.....

This the correct diagram:

ISP (telephone cable) > VDSL Model Technicolor TG589vn v3 (phone cable goes on DSL port) > Ethernet Cable Port 1 -> Wan Port Asus A86U > WiFI > PC

I have like 5 devices on Wifi and 1 connected using cable.

Should I turn off DHCP on Modem or Router?
