Hi :)
Recently got a Netgear R6120 and my internet plan is supposed to give me 200mbps DOWN and 10 UP. When I have my ethernet connected to my router it only gives me around 90mbps down and 10 up. But if I connect my ethernet directly to my modem it gives me the speeds I'm paying for. Any help? I really wanna use my internet speeds to it's full potential.

My provider is giving me the speeds. Check the SpeedTest results. What do you mean my settings might be wrong. What would I have to change?

But the security things are for the wireless connections no? idc about my wireless connections tbh I just want my ethernet speeds to be @ the rated speeds. Not only that but changing it to none removes my password

ugh why would anyone ever make the wifi faster than ethernet. Thanks bro I'll go return it.

People who use primarily WiFi (like those use laptops, notebooks, i phones) want fast WiFi . And for those people gigabit isn't a priority.

Personally, I use gigabit ethernet for my network. I don't use WiFi that much (although I do have it).

You can't beat gigabit for security. And file transfer is very fast.

Lol I just went to Walmart and returned the router. I got a Linksys AC1200+

resurrecting the old thread but I'm sending my ISP an email for now.. I've 500/500 connecting but when I connect my computer directly to the fiber box I get 500 down and 100 up. and when I connect to my router i get 300 down and 100 up... so its both router and ISP i presume.. I've Asus RT-AC88U so its a gigabit port as I can see its connected at 1Gbps.
