Question Router Power Surge

We had lightning strike right by our house which knocked our power out momentarily. When the power came back on the internet didn't work. I have a Netgear Nighthawk R7000. I am able to connect to it wireless, but it's not receiving a signal from the modem. The link light is off. My wired connection into the router doesn't work either obviously. My old router works fine, and hardwired works fine. I've tried to factory reset it, but still having the same issue. It's weird to me that it is still on, and broadcasting Wi-Fi, but not connecting to the modem. Anyone have any ideas? I greatly appreciate it.

I have had lots of experience with lighting causing electronics to fail.
My best guess is a component (or components) blew on the input circuit to the router.
This would still allow it to broadcast...but not allow it to function correctly.

Would I be able to open it up and see the damage?

It is quite possible the lightning strike killed your modem (coax or DSL) from the incomming wiring.

It's possible. Also....it may smell burnt.

Unless you're on last mile fiber optic, you modem is toast. Call your ISP to have it replaced, or to recommend a replacement unit that is compatible with their DSLAM.

My modem works fine. My other router works fine
