I am having an issue where my router will restart itself seemingly at random. It happens very commonly when playing online games like League of Legends and Overwatch, but it will periodically happen during other activity such as streaming videos as well. All of the router's lights shut off except for the power light, while the modem's lights stay on entirely except for the one that indicates it's connected to the router, which suggest's that it's the router's problem. The router will come back online after a few minutes, but once it fails once it will often fail several more times over the next hour.
I have tried multiple new routers and modems, I have tried ethernet and wifi, I have changed outlets for my router and modem, I have called my ISP repeatedly who insisted there was no problem with my signal from their end, I have disabled ipv6, I have confirmed UPnP is enabled, I have opened ports specifically for League of Legends and Overwatch, and I have done a clean reinstall of windows on my computer, none of which solved the problem.
Does anyone have any other suggestions for possible causes? The issue started happening in the past couple weeks with no apparent changes that may have caused it. Thanks so much!
