Router speed problems

I got a router: SMCWBR14 (Yeah, it is old)

And I got connected to it 4 PCs. 1 by LAN cable, 3 by wireless.

When I am on lan, my speeds are normal. (8MB/s)

But when I am connected from an other PC (notebook in this case) My speed is like 800kb/s.

I have no idea why, it happend from second to another. From 3MB/s to 800kb/s.

Any ideas, what can I do?

Hi,

Maybe the settings restricting the speed on the router or on your lan card.

Could be you lan card or lan port on the router that is defective.

I was changing settings on my router to maximalize the speed: 802.11 Mode : 802.11n ONLY. But the speed didn't increase at all :/
