Router Status Page

When I left click my wireless connection and click "Status" it shows my mbps coming in from my router to be 200 mbps. Am I really getting these speeds and if I was to connect an Ethernet cable that could support gigabit into my router would I get 200 mbps like the "Status" page says I'm getting through wifi.

That is the theoretical between you and the router.
If you were to connect via a Cat5e and use that, that 200 would increase to 1000.

My router is a 1 gigabit so your saying that the minimum speed is 200 mbps or that its the max

Your router is 1gigabit via a Cat5e cable.
WiFi is totally different.

If you were to connect to that router with a Cat6, you would get 1,000, not 200.
5 times as fast.

Of course, that is only between your PC and the router. Has nothing to do with your overall internet connection. Unless you have something fast and expensive.
