I have Comcast/Xfinity as my cable and internet provider. That may change in the not so distant future, I'm not sure on that yet.

Here's my problem: Through Comcast, I rent the Arris Tg862g/ct It's range is absolutely HORRIBLE! We only have 3/Gbs monthly data, in which most of it gets used when we're in the garage. This leaves us VERY close to going over EVERY month, and forces us to be extremely conservative with our data when away from home! VERY FRUSTRATING!

I found this Asus router on Craigslist for $75: http://miami.craigslist.org/pbc/ele/5104663670.html I do see that it sells for more through online retailers. Also, here is a link to the Cnet review: http:///www.cnet.com/products/asus-rt-ac66u-802-11ac-dual-band-wireless-ac1750-gigabit-router

I was also at Walmart tonight, and was looking at the routers there, along with 1 or 2 cable Modem/Routers. I didn't have time to look at all the other ones they had, but took some pictures of a few (front & back) Because it is late and I need to get to bed, I have uploaded the one's I took picture of to Google Drive, and am providing the link https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B9BH21_nfjzRfnZIRGRlM08wRWxfbzVJc2cyT3g1N2tGb2R2VTkyZk5pLXR4M2RidlhWNE0&usp=sharing

The $200 ones are really out of my price range, however I took pics of them anyway since some of them looked pretty good.

I would really appreciate any advice anyone could provide! Should I go for the from Craigslist (if she still has any of the 4) OR should I go for one of the ones I was looking at, at Walmart? If so, why or why not? OR, is there a different one you recommend? If I were to go with the one from craigslist, and there's still one available, I would have to move quick since I only have a rental vehicle until sometime Wednesday, unless I come up with some more $ to keep it longer.

Thanks so much for your time!! I apologize for making this somewhat complicated (especially for providing a link to the pictures of them, instead of listing them) But like I said, I really need to get to bed! I've been awake 19 1/2 hours, and have to get up in about 4 or 5,

Again, Thanks for any help you may be able to provide!

Model Numbers: Asus AC1750, Asus AC1200, Asus AC1900, Netgear N300 WIFI Cable Modem Router, Netgear N600 WIFI Cable Modem, Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 Smart WIFI Router

Although the Nighthawk is really out of my price range since my funds are limited and there's some other stuff I need to spend $ on, that looks to be a pretty good one. I've been out of the technology loop for the last few years. Why would a router have a 1GhZ dual core processor?

Additional Info: Old routers I have (which are obviously really old and single band)
D-Link DI-624
Netgear Wireless-N 300
If I had access to the attic, I would just simply run a wire from the Arriss Modem-Router to the garage. But the scuttle hole is inaccessible, and I figure it's better to buy a newer router with much better range, dual band technology, newer security protocols, etc.
