Router WiFi works, but connecting via Ethernet doesn't. Windows recognizes connection via Ethernet.

Hi, currently when connecting to the internet I use a USB connected Wi-Fi receiver, but this is unreliable for things like gaming.

Instead, when I connect to the router via an ethernet cable Windows acknowledges the connection, and even let's me log into my routers settings page, but it doesn't provide me an internet connection. It's not that the internet is slow or unstable, it simply doesn't exist when connected via Ethernet.

I cant provide much details right now, but if you ask I should be able to a few hours after I post this as I'm not home right now. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Solution
Notice the DNS server listed in the WIFI printout -- 192.168.1.1 -- Then notice the DNS servers listed in the wired connection 213.80.x.y -- You have overridden the DNS entry in the wired section (as well as previously specifying the IP address). Check the IP properties on the wired connection again. See if the "obtain DNS server automatically" is checked. If not check it.

Ok, after doing that I decided to restart my computer aswell in order for it to have things properly take effect. Now my ipconfig /all says that DHCP is enabled:

And windows claims that I'm connected to the internet:

But it still isn't working. Nothing loads, online programs that used to work with WiFi now claim that there's no internet connection, etc...

Your DNS servers could still be the problem. I would try Google DNS servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. If you can ping the router 192.168.1.1 then you may have have an issue on the router.

I would also disconnect the wired and connect the WIFI. Compare the ipconfig /all outputs of the two. See if there are any obvious differences.

Alright, I ran ipconfig /all with WiFi:

And here's the ping results. I ran one with WiFi and one with Ethernet to compare:

Also, sorry to ask, but what does "Google DNS servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4" mean?

That's what fixed it! I thought I checked it to obtain automatically but apparently I only set my IP address to be automatic, and not my DNS address. Thank you so much for your help and patience!
