Hi. I want to upgrade my R9 380.
I like the 2060 and I'm willing to pay more to get it If I was certain it supports freesync with my Samsung C27F591FD.
I read that the newer RTXs started supporting this feature with a recent driver but it's not 100% on all monitors.
I tried to ask in the samsung forums but the place seems empty.
If it doesn't support I will have to choose an AMD card again, probably the Vega 56. It will be a bit cheaper and it will support freesync 100% but
it's older tech, way more power hungry and probably a lot hotter and louder too.
My monitor/gaming is 100% at 1080p at 72fps max.
Do you think those cards are overkill at 1080p 60-72fps?
Should I go for a RX 580 or RX 590 and if NVIDIA can use freesync with my monitor to an 1660ti instead and spend way less money?
I won't buy a new monitor anytime soon.
Thanks!
