[SOLVED] RTX 2060 ko underperforming

I recently built a new pc and when I looked up benchmarks prior to buying my parts, they greatly exceeded my current gaming performance. my friend has a 1060 ti and its out performing me by a lot.
my rig is:
evga rtx 2060 ko
ryzen 5 3600
msi mag b550 tomahawk
16gb 3200 mz corsair vengance ram
corsair rm750 psu
1tb barracuda hardrive
500gb samsung evo plus m.2

my friend installed all the necessary drivers and updated the bios and im pretty sure the temps are good.
my monitor is 165 hz and I have vsync turned off.
anyway I can boost my performance or am i <Mod Edit> outta luck?

Make sure your RAM is running at 3200 MHz.

Yes, enable XMP / DOCP in the BIOS.

Yep, that's your problem right there: slow RAM will bottleneck a Ryzen CPU, which in turn tanks your frame rates. Enable XMP in the BIOS and you should be good to go.
