I am getting barely 30-40 fps on Assassins Creed Odyssey on the zotac RTX 2060.
My specs:
CPU: i5 6402p 2.8ghz
Ram: Corsair Vengence 8gb
GPU: Zotac RTX 2060
Storage: 1tb HDD
PSU: vs 650

Solution
ok thanks!!! and bdw which processor of i5 would u recommend to eliminate the bottleneck completely
Any motherboard that supports your 6402p will only run 6th & 7th generation Intel. There are no 6th & 7th generation i5’s that will give a worthwhile gain. Unfortunately the quad core i5’s have not aged well. To get any meaningful performance increases you are looking at an i7 so one of these 6700/6700k/7700/7700k (you may need a BIOS update first). Trouble is these i7’s tend to be overpriced, so many people wanting the best from their older machines is holding the prices high. If you can find one cheap then great, otherwise for only a little more you can move to a newer and better Ryzen setup.

You should be able to reach about 55fps with that CPU. You are likely being held back by the amount of ram you have, it's speed and single channel mode if only one module. Download and run CPU-Z and check the Memory tab for DRAM frequency and SPD tab for the module part number so we can find which kit you have. Also, check the Mainboard tab for your motherboard's manufacture and model number.

As I said the 30-40 seems about right for a 4 core/thread cpu. The 6402p is also lower clocked than those in this example.

Upgrading the CPU is not an option for me right now little tight on the budget.........So if i get another stick of RAM will it boost performance?
It should but I cannot say by how much. Each game is different and unless you can find a specific benchmark for single vs dual channel in that game its a guess. Also it is recommended to buy RAM in kits to avoid any compatibility issues, even buying the same make and model separately can have issues.

Solution
My DRAM frequency stands at 1066.7 MHZ
And my Part number is CMK8GX4M1A2400C16
Motherboard Manufacturer:Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd.
Model: H110M-S2-CF
Your memory is currently running at 2133Mhz, but your memory supports 2400Mhz which is also the maximum supported memory speed of your motherboards chipset. You also only have a single memory module which will be slower than if you had two modules in dual channel mode. You could probably expect around a 5-7fps increase by setting the memory to 2400Mhz and another 10fps with a second memory module in dual channel mode. That would probably be the only way to increase fps without buying an i7 or a new Z series motherboard to use ram faster than 2666Mhz..

Ok so how do i set the memory to 2400Mhz?

And should i consider the i5 9400f ?And does my mobo even support that processor??

I had another look at the specs of the CPU and it only supports up to 2133Mhz memory speed. You are stuck there unless you get a Z170 or Z270 motherboard or a better CPU. An i7 6700 or 7700 will work at 2400Mhz, but if you were to spend the money on that CPU, you would be better off buying a new motherboard or the better and cheaper option would be a Ryzen 5 2600 or 2600X with new motherboard and reuse your current ram.
