Hello, I am having issues with my fps and rtx really under performing. I get roughly 30-40 fps in GTAV In Sekiro I'm getting about 35-45 fps. And in CIV 6 I am getting roughly 40-50 fps as well. I know from experience that my fps should be way higher than that. Does anyone know any solutions

I have checked the control panel and everything resolution wise is set to where it's supposed to be to match my monitor. I've tried different viewing solutions in the game such as windowed and borderless. Also, these games are only on high, I cannot run them on Max or it goes well below 30 fps.

That's odd. The one in the omen is a slower one but not that slow.
Are you running mods in these games?
No, no mods. Yeah, I have had bad luck on computers I also have a laptop that had a gtx 1070 and it was super bad as well. I'm not sure how to solve the problems and why my graphics cards seem to get low fps.

Just one monitor, right? What refresh rate is it set to? What are the 3d settings in your game? What are the settings in the game profile in Nvidia control panel? Did you create one? DO you run the games in windowed mode or fullscreen?
Yes, one monitor. It is a 60hz for now, I plan on upgrading to a 144hz soon enough. Not sure what the settings are supposed to be, not that tech-savvy. I've tried running on both windowed and borderless both have around the same fps output.

1 stick HyperX DDR4

That is one major disadvantage, you are losing all DUAL CHANNEL MEMORY benefits here. I am not sure to what extent it will impact the performance in a particular game but it will. I would get another stick of the same type first thing if possible.

Try Full Screen mode, it is not uncommon when the display manager is messing with in-game FPS.

Do you recommend 2 8 gb sticks or just to get another 16 gb stick?

Also, I tried the windows thing and it still is low fps.
16GB of the same type (same product id)

DO you mean, you tried "Full Screen"? (not borderless and not windowed)
Try setting up a game profile (nvidia control panel -> 3d options) and changing "power management mode" from "adaptive" (default) to "prefer maximum performance"

Set the eye candy settings so you get a solid 30-35 fps. that's all the human eye can see anyway. many like to boast that they get 100 fps or so. I'm rotflmao because having that high of a frame rate is pointless

I checked it is on fulscreen and I switched to max perf. and it still drops here and there. Maybe it's a defective card? I don't know.
