Apologies if this was posted previously. I did a search, but didn't see anything.
I am building a gaming PC and wondering what would be the deciding factor to spend an extra $75 on the RTX card?
The RTX has Real time ray tracing, but not sure if it actually will make that much of a difference in gaming.
Looking at User benchmark ratings, the 2060 scored about 10% higher ( 85.5 vs 74.6 ) overall.
I'm just thinking that since this will be a new build I would be better off investing the extra $75 on the CPU or motherboard. I'm not sure if the 10% is worth the extra $$
This is for my son, he will be using 1 monitor and it will be at least 1080p ( I have to buy it as well. )
Thoughts?
