Apologies if this was posted previously. I did a search, but didn't see anything.
I am building a gaming PC and wondering what would be the deciding factor to spend an extra $75 on the RTX card?
The RTX has Real time ray tracing, but not sure if it actually will make that much of a difference in gaming.
Looking at User benchmark ratings, the 2060 scored about 10% higher ( 85.5 vs 74.6 ) overall.
I'm just thinking that since this will be a new build I would be better off investing the extra $75 on the CPU or motherboard. I'm not sure if the 10% is worth the extra $$
This is for my son, he will be using 1 monitor and it will be at least 1080p ( I have to buy it as well. )
Thoughts?

Agree with Notorious on the GTX 1660 Super which is excellent value for the performance on offer especially at 1080p and in fact is just fractions of the 1660 Ti. The RTX 2060 will be a bump up in performance but the RTX features are very limited at the 2060 level and really comes in at the RTX 2070/2080 Super and above.

Below is the Tom's review on the page showing gaming results..
