[SOLVED] Rtx 2060 or gtx 1070? Will the vram bottleneck me? I’ll play all types of games at 1080p 144hz.

I am planning to buy the rtx 2060 for 1080p 144hz gaming and i will not upgrade for the next 4-5 years. Is the 1070(its the only option i have in my country)a better option? Will the 6gb vram bottleneck me in a few years? How long do you think the 2060 will last? Will it last longer than a 1070?I will play all games at high/ultra settings. Which one is more futureproof?

6GB vram is plenty for today's games even at 4K. I think in the future only games in 4K 144hz and more intense VR setups will you run into an issue. I have 3Gb and i have no problems running everything at Ultra 1080P. If you are staying at 1080p DEFINITELY stay with the 1070.

So if 6gb vram is plenty its better to buy a 2060 over a 1070. It performs as good as a 1080 when oc and it has rtx.

A 1070 with 6Gb Vram will do fine for 1080p. if you have the money and plan to upgrade your cpu to something better, 2060 will be the best of the best right now and you will want to upgrade to 4k if you get it. What is your CPU?

The 2060 uses GDDR6 while the 1070 uses GDDR5, thus the 2060 handles higher VRAM intensive games even though it is a lower GB size. with that cpu i recommend the 1070. will run almost all games coming out these days.

Yes the 2060 will be more than enough for just 1080p. will last you for quite a long time as long as you stay on 1080p however todays games can be played at 4K on the 2060.
