Hi Guys!

I currently own a 34" 1440p monitor, and a Aorus GTX 1060 6gb Xtreme 9gbps GPU. I'm able to run 1440p ultrawide, but have to dial down some settings to High/Medium to maintain 60fps on AAA titles.

My questions is, what will be the best value for money (not just now, but also 2-3 years from now) i narrowed down my options:

  1. AORUS Xtreme RTX 2060 (subjective, but I think its 50% better than the 1060) - $425
  2. Gigabyte RTX 2070 Windforce (Futureproof since 8gb vram and gtx 1080 like?) - $560
  3. Gigabyte GTX 1660 Ti Windforce OC - $330
  4. Used 1080 ti (rare chances to find and used Palit 1080ti's cost $600)

I'm really not interested in ray tracing or somethign like that though, and rarely play competitive FPS, just for those beautiful open world games

Thank you!

My Specs:
i5 9600k 4.8ghz w AIO 240
Aorus GTX 1060 6gb Xtreme 9gbps
Z390 Aorus Elite Motherboard
16gb 2400mhz RAM
Seasonic M12ii 750w Bronze
Samsung 860 Evo 500gb
Inwin 101

The 1660TI is roughly = a 1070 - not enough of a step up from a 6GB 1060 IMO.

Minimum 2060, but a 2070 is where I'd aim. xx70 series cards also tend to hold their value a bit better than xx50 or xx60 cards, but the game has changed quite a bit with RTX.

Where are you located? A 2070 shouldn't set you back ~$560.... they should be comfortably <$500 (assuming USD, $560 is too low to be Canadian or Aussie).

I thought that too, RTX 2060 is a "Upgrade now" options, which has its pros and cons, but I'm still justifying if the 100 USD diff between that and the 2070 is worth for the future.

I'm from the Philippines, so the GPU prices here are pretty insane. 560 USD (which is 29000 PHP here, i think its the cheapest 2070 i was able to check). It's 100-125 USD more than the best 2060 model here though.
