Greetings everyone,

I bought a prebuilt gaming desktop called HP Pavillion Gaming Desktop TG01-0xxx about 3 years ago with the following specs:
CPU: AMD RYZEN 7 3700X
MB: HP 8643
GPU: HP GEFORCE RTX 2060 SUPER
RAM: 1x 16GB 1600 MHz DD4 SDRAM
PSU: Some 400W HP psu
OS: Windows 11
I also have two 22 inch 1920x1080 monitors, one connected with HDMI and is 144Hz and the other with Displayport and is 60Hz.

Up until a month ago I had no problems with gaming or any other task, never had my PC crash and could do any heavy load on it. However, now, I am unable to play any games or generally do any heavy load because each time a game loads my PC crashes (screen freezes , sometimes it turns black or gets the screen distorted). I cant even play games that don't require much PC power like minecraft without crashing. I am although able to do any other basic task on my PC without crashing like browsing google, watching videos, using photoshop etc.

I am fairly certain that this issue is caused from my RTX 2060 Super since when I also ran a UserBenchmark test today my PC crashed when it starting benchmarking my GPU.
I would also like to mention -although I am not sure if this may be connected to my issue and be caused by it- that installing the latest Windows 11 update causes my pc screen to flicker when launching my PC and basically make me unable to do anything on my PC until I revert the update to an older one. Apps also do not show and I can only see the taskbar (rest of the screen is gray and flickering)

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest drivers for RTX 2060 Super, underclocking my GPU, checking for anything weird inside my PC desktop and also the temperature and nothing has worked so far.

Thanks in advance.

PSU: Some 400W HP psu

Might be a better idea to get hold of some other high quality PSU for your GPU ? Don't use HP branded units on high end GPUs. Also, the minimum recommended PSU is 550 Watts for your card.

Alright I will try getting a better PSU and test it out. Only thing I am concerned about is how could my PC run normally before with the 400W PSU?

Yeah, I would definitely recommend trying some other high quality PSU with more wattage as well.

BEFORE having the GPU installed, or with the card installed ?

1. Try ddu your drivers
2. Did you do any oc?
3. Never even come close to user benchmark - <Mod Edit>
4. If you didnt do any oc, its probably not the cause but check what frequency/voltage you have when game crashes. Cuz theoretically your gpu might boost to much and crash
5. If you wanna do a stress test. Use haven benchamrk, afterburner or superposition

This is why they are telling you to get a better PSU. Prebuilt PC's usually have cheap PSU's. Can fail anytime.

It can work for a while, but it can/likely will fail and worse, it could take out other parts when it does.
