Question Rtx 2060 Super reaches 83-84c ?

I just bought used gigabyte Rtx 2060 super oc 3x, it reaches 83-84c max while gaming...
I have changed thermal paste before that it went straight to 87c.. I also undervolted it..

Is 83c ok while gaming. (GPU usage 100%)

Specs:
Intel i5 12400f
16gb ddr4 ram
Corsair cv550w psu

I have one intake case fan at front and one outake at back
It's Corsair carbide spec 01 case

83c is the max I get not more than that..
Is 83c ok for gaming or will it demage the card?

Have you tried changing the fan curve so they spin at 100% when it hits 70C or something?

It still reaches 83c but takes considerably more time to get to that point

Your gpu Could Have thermal protection capabilities on it but card is running abit to hot because dont even like my gpu go above those temps so suggest to try and get more airflow in case and change fan settings and try to downclock it abit

Yes that lowers temp to 80c but it makes noise and fan speed runs 100%.

Now I have two options
Fan speed 100%. 80c
Fan speed 80%. 83c

Which option is good

Oh ok surprised it makes such little difference. Also surprised that card is running so hot, sounds like you might have airflow issues.

Hi. It isn't issue it is just your own setting that the graphic card is reaching 83 degrees. If you want to lower down your temp open gefore experience by hitting alt + z (default) -> performance tab -> target temperature as default is 83 degrees.

However it isn't recommended to going down with temperature (it will cause your graphic card won't work on 100%). Use MSI Afterburn if you want to lower your temperature.

RTX 2060 super can run easly on 83 degrees and it won't make any damage.
