I'd like to know which one is better and reasons supporting it. All the help is appreciated.

For reference ill compare 2
Asus ROG Strix RTX 2060 Super Advanced OC EVO 8GB
https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Advance...G-STRIX-RTX2060S-A8G-EVO-GAMING/dp/B083FMBX4W

Asus ROG Strix RX 5700XT OC 8GB
https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Overclo...s-ROG-STRIX-RX5700XT-O8G-GAMING/dp/B07X7KNBMK

The RX 5700XT is a little expensive so if its better than RTX 2060 Super i might go for this

Gigabyte RX 5700XT Gaming OC 8GB
https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Graphics-256-Bit-Gv-R57XTGAMING-OC-8GD/dp/B07W95D5V3

Also if there's any other GPU better than these let me know. My budget is about 470$

Here you go:

RTX 2060 Super vs RX 5700 XT

The RX 5700 XT is clearly faster than the rtx 2060 super, if you don't care about ray tracing(it's implementation is not impressive at all anyways). Nvidia has better driver support, but AMD cards improve performance overtime with updated drivers... this is something to consider.

The RX 5700 XT would be my pick if new is a requirement. You can get a GTX 1080ti from the used market that will beat both in terms of performance while being cheaper than both.

EDIT: the Asus ROG Strix 5700XT has a flawed design and it'll run hotter than other RX 5700XT variants... I'd advice you to go with either the Sapphire Pulse or Powercolor Red Devil models for the 5700XT

Im sry i dont believe in buying used products ive had bad experiences. My objectives are high end gaming (no streaming, no overclocking CPU or GPU) and college stuff

I had the same choice about 10 months ago when both cards were first released. I chose the 2060 Super for a couple of reasons:

  1. All reports at the time indicated the 2060 Super ran a lot cooler. That was important to me.
  2. Ray Tracing. Not that important but certainly a 'nice to have'.

Since then, after market cooler designs have certainly helped the 5700 XT with their heat issue.

Previously, I owned a AMD R9 290 that eventually died. It ran great for many years, but even though it had an aftermarket 2 fan cooling solution, it always ran a bit hot. I was determined that my next card would not run hot.

As for ray tracing, saying it's 'not that impressive at all' is an opinion that I don't share. When I use it, it looks great, although it does drop the FPS on my system.

Yea also i want buttery smooth drivers so i dont see any stuttering and tbh i dont rly care for the extra 5 frames it will gimme id rather hav a smooth experience. I guess 2060S is the better choice.

I'll make a stand for AMD... I currently have a 5700XT on a secondary rig and I haven't had any problems with it, sincerly.
I've got the Sapphire model which runs at a respectable 68C under load... you can get the temp even lower by undervolting it.

I wouldn't disregard AMD so easily... yeah, they're a bit clunky with the drivers, but over time usually the performance gap might grow even higher between the 5700XT and the 2060S... remember when the 1060 was faster than the RX 580? The roles have changed now... Why? Driver optimization from AMD. I'm expecting a similar treatment for the 5700XT.

If you've watched the video in the link I posted there's not only a 5 frames difference between those 2 cards.

Ray Tracing was much better when it first released yes... problem was that it was barely playable on the 2060 at 1080p.

They really dropped the quality with the current ray tracing updates in games... you get better performance, but the quality loss is noticeable compared to the first iterations. The performance loss is not worth it, in my honest opinion.

Which link?

In my first post there's a link to a video... it's written in red.

I'll post it below again:

RTX 2060 Super vs RX 5700 XT

I also mentioned in my first post that you should avoid the ASUS ROG Strix RX 5700XT, because it runs really hot and it's a really expensive variant.
So if i dont care about Ray Tracing and maximum i want is 60 fps then shudnt i go for GTX 1070/1080? It wud be much cheaper

If you'll go with a card like the 5700XT/2060S in the end .... a 1440p monitor would be suited better for those cards.
At 4k you might need to lower the details even on those 2 GPUs.
I see. Thnx for all the help. Much appreciated :) i think ill go for 2060 Gaming OC then cause it wudnt make sense to buy 1660 which is an old gpu when i hav a decent budget. Ill prolly buy a new monitor soon. Also the 5700xt is quite expensive here.

My current monitor is 1080p but i might upgrade it at max after 6 months. Then ill prolly go for a 4k one
At 4k resolution, if you want high details at 60fps, then you're looking at a 2080 Ti most likely.

The 16-series is based on the same architecture as the 20-series, just without the RTX. They are the same age.

But, if you plan to get a 1440p monitor, then the 2060/5700 is the way to go.

What country are you in?

Ugh, yeah, the prices for the 5700 seem high. I was shocked to see that there's even one 2060 Super (Then Inno3D Twin) that is slightly less than the cheapest 5700.

Also id like to ask as many people hav recommended me. Shud i get a cheaper processor than the 3700x and a cheaper mobo and use my budget to maybe buy 2070 Super or 2080 Super? Cause ppl hav told me the gpu will be at its limit when running at ultra settings at 1440p while the processor wont be. Just FYI, i already hav a case and HDD and SSD. Im only buying a Processor, GPU, MoBo, PSU and RAM. And my budget for these products is 1500$/1 lakh Rupees (if ur indian xD). If u can help it wud be awesome :)

Oh, if the main Amazon.com site is available, then that's different.

Also, something to consider - in order of least performing to most performing:
  • RTX 2060
  • RX 5600 XT
  • RX 5700
  • RTX 2060 Super
So, it's worth considering the 5600XT if you're looking at the 2060. But the 2060 Super will outperform the 5700 a little.

₹31877.00 at Amazon India

In the US, the Sapphire Pulse version of the 5600XT isn't currently available, but there are a number of models from USD$280 to $330
This one was well-reviewed on Tom's Hardware, and is USD$289.99:
