RTX 2060 vs GTX 1070 for 1080p?

Hello, I'm in a dilemma to buy a new graphic card, my specs are:
CPU: i7 4790k
RAM: 16GB
22 Inch 1080p Monitor

I'm wondering which graphics card should i get for my 1080p monitor so I would be able to get the most out of all new games coming out.
Is 8 VRAM really worth it for 1080p? Are the new games going to be that demanding for VRAM?
The RTX 2060 is faster than the 1070Ti, and there are really good deals on Newegg, like 350 dollars.
Otherwise i can get a non-ti 1070, since the Ti is 600$ here.

Of the two, if the price is around the same, i would suggest getting the RTX2060.

2060 should be better but I saw some local sellers (here where I live) are trying to get rid of the older 1070.
If you can get your hands on any of those cheap 1070, you might as well get that 1070.

I dont think you'd see a difference between the VRAMs at that res.

The 2060 is newer tech, and games with DLSS enabled in the future should give the 2060 an FPS boost.

2060 is prob a good long term card for 1080p

VRAM really only matters as you get to higher resolutions. For 1080p 6gb is fine.

Techpowerup showed the 2060 getting 15% better fps than the 1070. So for the same price, it is really not even close or worthy of a debate. Go for the 2060.
