Hello,

I just put in my new Zotac RTX 2070 AMP! Extreme and started my first gaming sesion on Shadow of the Tomb Raider, when I noticed some artifacts appearing on screen
which can be seen here:
View: https://youtu.be/jt7QmXH9cx0
(Sorry for the German ^^) and the game crashing/freezing occasionally...

The only unusual thing I spotted was that the official boost of the card (according to GPU-Z (https://prnt.sc/n56pco) ) is 1810Mhz, but as you can see in the video, the card actually boosts up to 1950Mhz...
It also only does it while under load. When im for example simply browsing the web or things like that, it doesn`t happen...

The rest of the system includes:

  • Ryzen 5 2600
  • B450 I Aourus Pro Wifi
  • 16GB DDR4
  • 650W Seasonic Focus+ Gold

So, Id be glad if anyone has an Idea of how to fix it / what the cause is...

Kind Regards

HowRuck

u need to take your GPU back to the shops and get an replacement tell the store that you have an faulty GPU but it looks like you have an bad GPU been hearing storys about the new GPUs being broken and such.

As it stands, it actualy was a dead card, as you said.
After RMAing twice i finally got a working one :)

I have the same GPU (it only has a month) as you have and does the same in AC Odyssey looks like fireworks and the game crashes, i thought it was something incompatible for having much older hardware, with this i now know that the GPU is at fault. Thank you.
