[SOLVED] RTX 2070 bottle necking an i5-8400?

Hi. Im thinking about upgrading from my GTX 1060 to RTX 2070. But idk if its gonna be playable or am i going to have lower fps then. Im playing on 1080p 75Hz

I5-8400
Gtx 1060 3Gb
16Gb ram
650W psu

You should be fine with that. It's fairly balanced considering the hardware and the resolution/refresh rate of the monitor.

Only issue you will have, is in AAA titles that want to use more cores/threads, than your CPU can provide. Those 6 core i5's have been known to have some frametime variance issues, in such titles. Otherwise, you should be perfectly fine.

If you find yourself to be CPU limited due to a lack of cores, then that would be the next step.
