Question RTX 2070 is it worth?

Okay so is the “EVGA RTX 2070 Black Gaming” worth the $500? When I have a $1100 budget because I have in mind a build already with it that brings me to $1100 about but I was debating on it because of the $500 for the graphics card

In my personal opinion, not necessarily. I got one but I got it for purely raster performance boost reasons since old card was... too old and market was overinflated in earlier 10xx card prices)
Recent reviews on latest RTX title, Metro Exodus, show that RTX is nice looking but carries still a heavy performance impact (20 to 50%)
if you have 2070 and are playing with RTX on high (ultra doesn't supposedly give THAT much visual goodies) you should be seeing like... 70 to 85FPS.

If you aim for higher resolutions than 1080P with RTX on, 2070 will not hit 60fps.
pure price/performance wise, better option might be 2060 unless you need that extra oomph for 1440P the price tag for 2070 is still kind of high if you consider only the non-rtx performance. (also if you can find good 1080Ti cheaper, consider it?)
