Hello,
Before I begin my specs are:
Z390 Gaming AC
EVGA RTX 2070 Super
8700k @ 4.7
Corsair RGB 32gb RAM @3600Mhz
Anyways,
on the 9th I downloaded the 457.30 driver from Nvidia and everything was fine. Then when I turned on my PC the next day, my gpu temperature was lower by about 10 degrees C (normally around 58-60C when gaming but now it's at 48-53 C while gaming). I reverted to the old driver and found out that the problem was solved, but when I booted up the next day the temp was low again (temp will go back to low after reboot no matter what driver I install). I've noticed on GPU-Z that when the temp is low, the board power draw is only around 121-125W when I have a game open vs 190-200 W when the problem isn't happening. With all that said, I haven't noticed any performance issues. I just don't understand why my gpu temp would suddenly be 10 degrees cooler. So my question, is this normal? Any help or clarity would be greatly appreciated.
