Question RTX 2070 says 1080p after first install of Far Cry 5 and Call of Duty is best setting?

Question my ASUS RTX 2070 8 GB acts wirdly in Windows 11. When I install some games like Call of Duty WW2 and Far Cry 5, then the games install claims the best settings is 1080p? And I have to manually set it to 4k. Is that just how the games were programmed at the time? Or could it be the card be in trouble?

I don’t know about FC5 but I cannot believe COD WW2 was created with 4K textures
