Question RTX 2070 Spikes to 100 Then Crashes / Goes to Battery / AMD 3900 Sager Laptop NP7958F1-S

Hey ya'll,

I made an account just for this issue

I've tried everything from everyone - fresh install of everything, fresh drivers, rolled back, new ones, old ones, studio driver / game ready - disable ESENT and DistributedCOM - remove / replace thermal paste - went back to older build of windows 10 - different versions of Adobe software - issue persists

I go to render 4K with FX and computer spikes, either crashes or goes to battery power - funny thing, if I unplug the power adapter and plug back in - goes back to normal until the next spike

I'm running MSI afterburner to lower clock speeds, seems to help a little bit, but problem persists

Am I just out of luck until AMD and Nvidia sort things out? Has anyone been able to truly fix this problem? Thanks a million!!

Yes new laptop - I have not tried upgrading to pro - thank you for the idea! Will try it out...
