I mainly game at 1440p , both cards from benchmarks are merely identical in results , probably the RTX 2070 has a very slight numerical advantage in benchmarks and on specification sheet Both cards are offered for the same price where I live ? I am torn between buying the RTX 2070 as its the better card on specifications , even though performance gains are within margin of error , or buying the newer gtx 2060 Super as it would probably have better future drivers support.

What are your thoughts ?

Solution
RTX 2070 has a bit of an advantage over the GTX 2060 Super.
By the time Nvidia drops support you will have a better GPU.
nVidia is still providing driver updates for the GeForce 600 series. Historically they've maintained updated drivers for a long time. The RTX 2070 will likely be an old and slow card which you've replaced long before nVidia stops releasing drivers for it. Which going by how old the 600 series is. May not be until after 2025.

As the 2070 and 2060 Super are the same series. Odds are both will stop getting new drivers at the same time. So, get the 2070 if it is the same price.

Actually the drivers for the 600 Series arent that great anymore , i have the 660ti , and it has alot of random crashes with newer titles , without any error messages , it just exits the game , when i borrowed a friend of mines RTX2070 for a week i didnt have a single crash with the same title and same drivers, the 660ti itself is fine though i can torure it with stress tests without any artifacts or crashes

Just bear in mind. The 2060 Super isn't a new generation. It's the same architecture. Think of it as a 2060 Ti. The 2060, 2060 Super and 2070 are all TU106 GPU with different core counts, frequencies and VRAM. So don't expect any differences in driver longevity or game reliability.

Looks like i am sticking with the RTX2070 afterall , i have a question about the PSU , i own a seasonic S12 520w , my PC has an i7 9700K and Z390 gigabyte auros pro wifi mobo , when i tested the rtx 2070 it ran fine and the maximum power draw recorded on gpuz and asus gpu tweak monitor was 179 watts with turbo boost up to 1950 MHz on the GPU
Do i need to upgrade the PSU ?

That PSU is fine for your system. Even a maximum power load your system won't go over 460W.
Most PSUs reach peak efficiency around 80%.

I would go wityh a 600-650W PSU, since I prefer to stay around 65% to 75% range to achieve peak efficiency and keep the PSU cool.
The higher the load the hotter a PSU gets and heat shorten the life of many components.

I changed the PSU to a corsair rmi 850 , its an overkill but i like the monitoring capabilities , fanless mode , and additional ocp capped at 40A at the rails
