Hi guys! First of all i want to apologize because my english is not very good.
Ok so i got a Zotac 2070 super (almost 2 months) and i realized that im getting really low fps. When i first noticed it was with the witcher 3, at 1080p with ultra graphics i get between 55-70 fps... and i think that is not that good with that gpu. I saw on youtube the same card getting 130avg fps with the same settings. So i checked the game with afterburner and i realized that the gpu usage is always higher than 90% (cpu 50%).
I tried tweaking the game with nvidia control panel but it still the same
Then i tried battlefield 1 and at 1080p i get 65fps avg.....
I reinstalled the drivers 3 times but still the same
Im really upset, idk what to do...

Thank you very much!

Solution
do you have a spare hdd/ssd? Do a clean install with an ISO downloaded from Microsoft. Install all mobo drivers, install GPU drivers, see what happens.

Check your CPU & GPU max temp while gaming, HWmonitor works well.
https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

Post the max temps for both after at least 15 mins of gaming.
CPU;
Temperature 0 55 degC (131 degF) (Package)
Temperature 1 54 degC (129 degF) (Core #0)
Temperature 2 52 degC (125 degF) (Core #1)
Temperature 3 57 degC (134 degF) (Core #2)
Temperature 4 48 degC (118 degF) (Core #3)
Voltage 0 +0.00 Volts (IA Offset)
Voltage 1 +0.00 Volts (GT Offset)
Voltage 2 +0.00 Volts (LLC/Ring Offset)
Voltage 3 +0.00 Volts (System Agent Offset)
Voltage 4 1.17 Volts (VID #0)
Voltage 5 1.19 Volts (VID #1)
Voltage 6 1.16 Volts (VID #2)
Voltage 7 1.21 Volts (VID #3)
Power 00 20.26 W (Package)
Power 01 19.01 W (IA Cores)
Power 02 n.a. (GT)
Power 03 1.24 W (Uncore)
Power 04 1.37 W (DRAM)
Clock Speed 0 4000.96 MHz (Core #0)
Clock Speed 1 4000.96 MHz (Core #1)
Clock Speed 2 4100.98 MHz (Core #2)
Clock Speed 3 4100.98 MHz (Core #3)
Core 0 max ratio 42.0 (effective 42.0)
Core 1 max ratio 42.0 (effective 42.0)
Core 2 max ratio 42.0 (effective 42.0)
Core 3 max ratio 42.0 (effective 42.0)

And the gpu;
Hardware monitor NVIDIA NVAPI
Voltage 0 1.03 Volts [0x407] (GPU)
Power 0 62.67 pc (GPU)
Temperature 0 70 degC (158 degF) [0x46] (GPU)
Fan 0 1772 RPM [0x6EC] (GPU #0)
Fan 1 1730 RPM [0x6C2] (GPU #1)
Clock Speed 0 1875.00 MHz [0x753] (Graphics)
Clock Speed 1 7000.98 MHz [0x1B58] (Memory)
Clock Speed 2 n.a. (Processor)

Ok so temps are fine.

Have you reinstalled the newest GPU drivers using DDU or selecting "perform a clean install" during the install?

Next thing I'd check is verifying the game files. While usually when you download a game all the files should be installed however I've had it were a few files went missing or were never installed and it caused really poor performance. Verifying those files via Steam/Origin fixed it.

Yes, i have done both things, but its the same, or worst. I dont really know what to do, i have reinstalled the gpu to check again that everything was correct and still the same. What else can i do?
Thank you for the replies!

I would try updating the motherboard drivers but I don't think that'll do much.

When you updated the GPU did you update any other parts? I know if you change the motherboard without doing a clean install of Windows then you can get poor performance due to conflicting motherboard drivers.

As a last resort I'd do a clean install of Windows & drivers and see if that helps.

Yes, i have upgraded the processor, and got from 1050ti to 1080, then the 2070 super. But i already uninstalled the old drivers. I will try a clean install and see if that helps. The mobo is gigabyte ga b250m ds3h, drivers are updated. I also upgraded ram from 8gb to 16 and turned on the xmp in the bios. This sunday i will try the clean install and see what happens. Thank you!

Have you tried synthetic benchmarks to see if those are also low, to make sure it's not some settings overriding things?

But yeah, I would reinstall Windows if you aren't finding any other cures, it could be messed up with the processor upgrade.
