[SOLVED] RTX 2070 Super underperforming?

Hey guys!
I have a Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Windforce OC 3X 8G. And my friend has an Inno3D 2060 Super. We were just comparing FPS and the difference was negligible so I wondered if something was wrong. I benchmarked it on userbenchmark and it said 4th percentile. How to fix? Pls help!

Solution
GtaV is online game which means internet connection and server load, does play a role as well. Also if you are not on the exact same spot and do the exact same things, you won't have the same result.

Check more than one game, preferably not an online one.
Well again, you need to check if you are using the same GPU driver version, if you have the same windows version (we are currently on 20H2), same chipset drivers and so on.
But the other thing that I think it does play a role is the RAM speed and latency. You are a tad lower than what is the optimal for Ryzen 3000 (3600Mhz is the best), if your friend has faster RAM AND different versions in anything I mentioned above, will get different (probably better results).

Oh god, I forgot to mention the most important. Resolution... Are you both on the same resolution?

Another thing you can do is to use DDU in safe mode to uninstall and then reinstall your GPU drivers.

Just to see the difference in performance with the speed of RAM:

We have the same model and mhz RAM so that shouldn't be a problem. I will try the driver thing

Ok so I did that, and installed the new drivers that came in December 2. This has increased the score to 27th percentile

We compared again. The difference is bigger now. I believe it was driver issues coupled with my GPU being the lowest end of custom GPUs for the 2070 Super. Whereas his was an Inno3D I know nothing about 😅
