My RTX 2080 caught fire. Fortunately I was able to pull the power immediately so the damage was limited. I already opened a ticket with EVGA but I am wondering... is it safe to install a spare 970 that I have? Below link has photos of the damage and looking for opinions if this is likely to affect a different card in the same rig.

I did not modify the RTX 2080 at all. This build has been running about 18 months. It was also not under a heavy load at the time.
All other components seem ok. I am able to run the PC with onboard graphics just fine.
Googled around and I think the burnt area was the RGB fan header (which wasn't in use).
