Hey guys ! :)
I just purchased an MSI RTX2080 Gaming X Trio and im really happy about it so far.

I also have an "old" Corsair CX750M (green logo) as PSU.
On some threads, I read that 2 Distincts 8pins PCIe cables on the PSU are more than advised than 1 Dual with 2 x 8pins to power this high-end card and maintain a better stability.
Im currently using only one Dual (daisy-chained) PCIe cable from my previous GTX980, but the coil whine is strong and i'm worried if it could damage my new card.

Any thoughts about it ?
Plus, im confused with my actual PSU, cause on the back there only seems to be one 6+2 PCI-e port and one 4+4 CPU port.

Buying and pluging 2 differents PCI-e cables on the RTX 2080 from these ports shall be fine ?

Otherwise i'm planing to get a Seasonic Focus Plus 850W Platinum to be safe, but i feel like its a little bit of overreacting 😀

Thanks a lot, and sorry if its not crystal clear as im a little bit french and confused 😉

Specs are :

Windows 10 Professionnel 64-bit
Intel Core i7 4790K @ 4.00GHz
Motherboard ASUS Z-97 P
16,0 Go Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 815MHz
MSI RTX 280 Gaming X Trio 8GB
Samsung SSD 850 Evo 250GB
Western Digital Blue Desktop HDD 1TB
PSU Corsair CX750M

Solution
I would not daisy chain the 6+2 to 2 (8) pin connectors. I think it is time for a new PSU. But you dont need an 850 watt PSU for your rig. A quality 650 watt would be fine. Seasonic Focus are good PSUs. So are EVGA G2 or G3. I would go with one of those.
