RTX 2080 - no signal if refresh rate > 80 hz on xb271hu

Hello

I've an RTX 2080, and for some reason, whenever I change the refresh rate for the monitor to above 80hz, it just gives me a no signal and reverts back after a short period.
My Acer xb271hu should be able to manage the 144hz, and with my old GTX 980 it did just that, with no problems.
I'm using the latest drivers.

Any help on this issue?

I did indeed! Just plopped it in, no errors like before. Stress test it in 3dmark, no issues. But cant get that refresh rate up.

I used the same cable as before, but will try and buy a new displayport cable, see if that fixes it.

Edit: This solved it, apparently the cable that gave me 144hz on my old GFX couldnt with the new one, for some reason or other.
