RTX 2080 or RTX 2080 Ti?

I am looking to upgrade my current 1080 to either a 2080 or 2080 ti. I am just wondering if the extra cost is worth it? I don't run VR since I don't have a VR headset, and I don't do SLI. I have an Acer Predator 1440p G-Sync monitor and like to play AAA games on high settings. I also watercool the GPU so cooling fans on certain cards are irrelevant.

Could I max most games on a 2080 or is the Ti really that much better and noticeable?

My RTX 2080 works very well. I pretty much max out all games to Ultra in 1440p. All games that I play have more than 60fps.

AC : Origins: everything on ultra: between 70 and 80fps
Shardow of Tomb Raider: everything very high (is ultra) 85 to 100 fps
Battlefield 5 War Stories with everything on Ultra and Ray Tracing on High: between 60 and 80fps
Wolfenstein II: in Mein Leben Settings, around 140fps
Far Cry 5: Ultra Settings: around 100fps
Kingdom Come Deliverance: Ultra (experimental) between 55 and 75fps
Witcher 3: Ultra everything maxed out: in the 90s fps

Again, that is everything in 1440p with Gsync.

You only want the 2080ti if you plan to play games in 4k. Otherwise its not worth the extra money.

yeah, you kinda can throw pretty much anything at it in 1440p and it has not problem with it at all. Even the 8GB Vram seems to be fine for that resolution. No game uses more than about 5 1/2 gigs. Some less. Only with 4k the 8GB vram might be at the low end with some future games
