I'm putting this in GPUs (maybe it should be in display), as my 4K TV displayed 1440 with my old 970, and I am using the same HDMI cable (which carries a 4k signal just fine).
I bought one of the cyber monday HP Omen desktops with an rtx2080, and for the life of me I cannot get the thing to display 1440. I've done everything I can think of, including creating the resolution in the nVidia menu, which yields a black screen during the test portion (reverts back afterward).
I also cannot figure out what brand made the 2080 in this thing. Is it possible its some weird spec 2080 that won't do 1440?
