To put it short, I don't think I'm getting what I should from my RTX 2080 TI.

PSU 650 W Gold Corsair (Getting a 750 in 3 days)

CPU: i7 9700k

GPU: RTX 2080ti

Ram: 2x8gb Vengence

I'm seeing people get well over 200 fps easily on graphic intensive games such as PUBG. However, I'm only getting around 100-160. I have overclocked my GPU and all my settings are on low. In task manager, nothing reaches over 80% load usually and my temperatures are under 65c.

My drivers are up to date and my Nvidia control panel settings are all optimized for maximum performance.

Solution
CORSAIR RMX Series (2018), RM650x, 650 Watt, 80+ Gold Certified, Fully Modular Power Supply

ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 2080 Ti AMP 11GB GDDR6 352-bit SPECTRA Boostclock: 1665Mhz

My motherboard is a b360m DS3H that locks my ram speed to 2666Mhz and cannot overclock my CPU

Yeah, you are bottlenecking the 2080Ti.

That's not a 1080P card unless you can actually OC the CPU and preferably have a 9900K. The 2080Ti will be bottlenecked by just about everything at 1080P.

Bad choice in the MB, need to have a good Z390 MB like one of the AORUS motherboards.

I hope you are using 2 separate cables for the 2080Ti, if not then that needs to be changed.
What is the rest of your system?

What PSU and what 2080Ti exactly?

Thanks, I'll probably get one of those motherboards soon then. Few things though, for the CPU I feel like the 9700k and 9900k are very similar in terms of pure gaming. Also, by two separate cables do you mean from my PSU to my GPU? Which in that case I am.

One more thing, is the ram speed an issue? It goes up to 3000 on a proper motherboard.

No, the 9900k and 9700k are not the same, especially at 1080P and with a 2080Ti you need all the CPU power you can get to keep up with it.

Your ram will be fine on the new MB.

Alright thanks for the help :)

*I've asked and looked at several threads, even the 8700k apparently won't "bottleneck" this GPU. Also, benchmarks are minimal differences between the 9900k and 9700k in some games at least. Just wanted to update this thread so anyone looking through it doesn't get the wrong idea. Even an 8700k would be enough.
