Hi!

Anyone here knows if a RTX 2080 TI would get bottlenecked by a Ryzen 5 1600X ? And if so would it be by much?

Depends on the game and resolution but if you have that 1600 overclocked in the 3.8-4.0ghz range and are gaming at 4K/60hz then it would probably be ok. Any lower of a resolution will probably result in the CPU holding back the performance quite a bit.

It is though a bit of a odd pairing ($150 CPU with $1200 GPU).

The pairing is because I just upgraded the graphic card but using my old CPU (Not overclocked btw) still.

I'm testing with Assasins creed unity and when running it on the highest settings and 4K/60hz i get around 38-48 FPS.
when lowering resolution to 2560x1440 i get perfect 60 FPS.

Do you think overclocking or buying better CPU would yield better FPS on 4K?

No CPU bottleneck with the usage.

This being said though it wouldn't hurt to consider a 3rd gen if the performance per core is significantly higher but we won't know until release and testing can be done.

I can't afford a new MB & CPU for a while anyways, I had to sell my mother to buy this graphic card....

Is it not strange though that this card can't run 4k 60fps on a game released 2014?

It was & still is terribly optimized. I had a 4770K/1080 ti previously and could barely get 60 FPS on high/ultra settings at 2560x1080P. I've been hesitant to try it again as I only have a 2600/RX 580.
